Dancin' and Fiddlin'

I'm listening to Buford Kegley, the morning DJ on WBRF in Galax, Virginia. (Isn't streaming audio the best thing ever?) The Fiddlers' Convention is coming up. It makes me wish I could click my ruby slippers three times and be there. While Galax is going on, there's no better party, no better entertainment, on God's green earth.

Happy Fiddlin.'

Never been to the fiddlin' convention. Need to do this some time. Lived in Lynchburg for twenty some years. Lots of good music in that part of Virginia.

The picture reminds me of the stage scene in "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?"

My response to both your comments, "lots of good music" and "O Brother Where Art Thou," you're both dead on!!!

"Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?" now there's a great film, with a soundtrack that is greater still (I am in awe of Alison Krauss).

But I'm afraid to say that the film which immediately sprung to mind was Deliverance - but the Banjo scene, I hasten to add!!
